Julie Goodridge is a trauma healing practitioner with a background in Biochemistry, Physiology and Epidemiology. She holds an MSc in Epidemiology from the University of Oxford and has more than 20 years of experience in healing and personal growth. Julie combines her scientific background with coaching and energy-based healing in her work with clients.
Where the work comes from
Julie's path into this work began with a personal one: a desire to change herself, and to free herself from the limitations the mind creates through beliefs, conditioning and the patterns we get set into. That curiosity, about what lies beyond what we can easily measure, sat alongside a scientific training, and the two have shaped each other ever since.
She trained in science before spending years working in care, ultimately managing a home supporting residents living with acute mental illness. But it was more than two decades of exploring healing that shaped how she works today. Along the way she has seen, repeatedly, the same thing: people who understand exactly what happened to them, but still don't feel free of it. Her work begins in that gap, between understanding something and actually feeling different.

How Julie works
Julie combines energy-based healing with coaching, moving intuitively between Reiki, Heart Healing and VortexHealing® according to what she senses is needed. The healing creates space for something to shift; the coaching gives people time to understand what's changing and how it shows up in everyday life. She works with people one to one, over two months, and runs small group healing retreats on the English/Welsh borders.
Her clients often come to her after therapy, medication or years of personal-growth work have helped them understand their past without changing how they feel in the present. Much of her work is with people living with anxiety, burnout, low self-worth and recurring relationship patterns. These are often connected to experiences that never seemed dramatic enough to explain how they feel now.
